What up all my would be fans. I hail from the a small country of New Zealand. I was born in 1988 and grew up listening to all sorts of music. I listen to Rap (#1) and Rock(#1.5) mainly but enjoy any sort of music with good content and a strong emotional pull. I play a bit of guitar and currently teaching myself chords and scales on piano to help with the beats. I love, LOVE, LOVE rapping. Its been there for me during all of the good, bad and the ugly times in my life. Its a good way to unload troubling thoughts to help me keep going along with this music and also life's many tribulations.
My influences range from Eric Clapton to Easy E. I've never been a one genre type of guy which I believe is crucial to understand what fans are actually looking for in an artist these days. I do not care for many of the things that other rappers talk about in songs , such as beef, money, cars, bitches and jewels (especially jewels). I hope to never have to rely on such idle things to help my music progress.
I've founded my own local record label of which I built from the ground up. By Any Means Records or B.A.M Records. I think the name describes my endeavors as a rapper because honestly I USED TO drop tracks on broken microphones with the wires hanging out and electrical tape everywhere and wearing no headphones (rookie LMAO). The computers were ancient and USED TO record off time and we'd have to move that shit over manually (good times). Nowadays after many of arguments and struggles with my girl (who supported me 100%) I have the best of both MAC and Windows worlds. I had to teach myself how to compose beats on every decent software you could imagine (self taught under the guidance of my homeboy DS), Mix and Master on every decent DAW I could get my hands on (self taught), all at the same time still perfecting my flow to enable myself to compete with all competitors with nobody on the outside telling me what I could and couldn't say. I even learnt a bit about computers because they USED TO always crash. Now I can build a PC which is easier than most would have you believe but enough of that.
My direction is that I want people to look on Rap with a different perspective. Just because of how I dress, do not judge me and think I'm a thug who would rob, cheat and steal from you. Do not think that I need a gun to get a point across instead of using my wit to resolve an issue. I consider myself a REAL RAPPER who does it because I love doing it and nothing else. Of course I'd like to be famous with cash to spare for my family, but to be truthful I feel happy with where I am in life right now, as I am. Broke with only an underground studio to my name. This is me and I will not change. I thank anyone who read this for taking the time to listen to an underground artist/ producer/ composer from NZ.
Now BLAzE UP and PEACE OUT.
