Hey everyone!! My name is Chris Tutton, and I am a young solo singer/songwriter from Gloucester. I have been writing songs for nearly 2 years now, after deciding to go solo after being part of two bands, The Unadopted, and The Ultra-Violet Pilots. I was the drummer in The Unadopted, and was lead singer and guitarist in The Ultra-Violet Pilots. Although as a band we wrote many songs together, and did many gigs, we went out separate ways, which lead me to go solo. You will see a common theme running through all of my songs, which is love. I feel that love is a very inspirational topic to write about, because it is a topic that everyone can relate to, and so everyone can emotionally connect with my songs. I take lyrical inspiration from events that occur in my life, such as relationships I have been in, and break ups I have been through. I also take inspiration for the style of my music from bands such as Oasis, and also You Me At Six (Their more acoustic songs.) These bands are what I try to model my songs on, although I retain a very unique sense in my songs, which takes my music down the acoustic indy rock genre path. I am currently just enjoying doing local gigs in Gloucester, although in the future my ambition is to record my debut album, which I plan to call Sensuality, meaning to connect with your senses, which my songs clearly reflect. I would also love for being further a-field than Gloucester to have a chance to listen to, and appreciate my music, which I hope appeals to everyone.
