My earliest memories are about music, having been weaned on Motown and early Beatles in the 60s. I started playing the drums around age 8, then picked up guitar and finally piano a few years later. I've been writing songs for the last 15 years or so, songs that cover every genre from folk to rock, blues to pop, jazz to classical. I currently play in a NY/NJ based band called Thunderhouse, and have self-produced 7 CDs of my own material to date. www.garyalt.com
