The earliest titles recorded under the Have a Sandwich Label date back to 1985. Since then Have a Sandwich Records has followed the same path that many mid-level labels have followed: from 4-track, to reel-to-reel, to ADAT, and ultimately hard disc. In 1995, participation in the Independent Label Festival led to one of Have a Sandwich’s artists “Freebus” being featured in the motion picture “vivid”. In 2005, one of Have a Sandwich’s artists “God Wafer” had three songs featured in the Discovery Channel series “Urban Explorers”. Have a Sandwich Records is currently wrapping up production on Freebus’ 3rd, as yet untitled, record and getting ready to release the now-completed 3rd Kentucky Jelly record “Milk of Amnesia”.
