Founded in 2009 as a two-piece high energy duo, Adrian Toulmin and Grant Waters met while working at a well-known hotel bar in Toronto. Hailing from Toronto and Victoria respectively, they combined their individual styles to form In Plain View.
Following a series of successful gigs, Ryan Welfle joined In Plain View on bass. They set upon recording their first studio album, furthering their musical education and delving deeper into their creative development. Thomas Gibson brought his experience, stepping in on the four string as Ryan departed on the search for his own holy grail. Rounding out the group, Chris Duncan joined In Plain View with his talent and versatility on guitars.
This line-up breathes even more energy into the tight songwriting and musicality of In Plain View. They have been working hard, evolving into a band rich with musical soundscapes and beautiful harmonies. Their debut self titled album with producer Christian Anderson was released in March 2011. Watch for the band this summer as they sweep across the country, bringing their sound In Plain View.
