Just Puppets is a 5-piece rock band deeply rooted in classical concepts. One part Rachmaninoff to one part Radiohead, Just Puppets is a vivid and eloquent hybrid between chamber ensemble and rock band, pulling influences from Queen, Led Zeppelin, Stravinsky, and The Who. Dreamed up by frontman Ric Becker (vocals/trombone) and Ashley Baier (drums), Just Puppets' lofty lyrics and illustrious arrangements makes the band's whimsical journey into the existential a sophisticated, quirky, and surprisingly soulful experience. Since its birth in 2008, Just Puppets currently includes Darren Lipper (bass), Ben Hicock (guitar), and Melissa Li (keys).
