Singer / Songwriter from New Brighton, near Liverpool, UK, specialising in writing short pop songs, featuring strong hooks, aiming for the type of simple catchy songs that defined the 60's. Mark plays acoustic guitar and some very basic Tenor sax.
Mark has been doing Open Mic performances since 2005 but only in 2011 has moved from performing covers to doing his own songs live. Some songs, like 'Gods of California', co- written by Steve Lawson from the Paul McArtney tribute band MACCA, is a multi instrument recording and difficult to play live at Open Mics ! This song was a semi finalist in the 2010 UK Songwriting competition, and is a mosaic song about the rock band The Eagles.
