THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN!
After a six year absence from the music scene NOVICE are back! Rockin' harder & louder than ever performing once again as a power trio.
NOVICE originally formed in early 1998 in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland with members:
Denver McCord - vocals & guitar
Mark Kerr - bass
Gary Colbert - drums.
Playing live is where NOVICE feel most at home & are always guaranteed to put on an energetic, hell-raisin', dynamic show! Feeding of both the audience & their own unadorned passion for the music, a NOVICE concert is an unforgettable experience.
Denver is very much the 60's/70's classic rock guy, Mark is the metal-head & Gary's the 80's nu-romantic! But there is also a common thread that runs though the bands influences, such as- 'AC/DC', 'Black Sabbath', 'Led Zeppelin', 'Pink Floyd', 'Metallica' & ' 'Therapy?' to name a few.
NOVICE performed their reunion show at Jagger's Common Room, Dungannon in December 2010, debuting a number of new songs which have been written since they reformed & of course some of their classic material.
2011 has been a busy year for NOVICE so far. With a wealth of new material written, the release of their first single "Testify" & "Falling Apart" available for download only on iTunes since 21st February which was recorded at Green Valley Studio & have just released their brand new single "AFTERBURN" on Monday 15th August via iTunes which was recorded at Einstein Studio.
NOVICE wasted no time in getting back out performing live in venues over Northern Ireland & were invited to perform at The Limelight, Belfast this past June, with many more dates to come.
NOVICE are also through to the semi-final of the Battle of the Bands competition at The Auction Rooms in Moy which will be held on 1st September.
The guys are currently working hard on new material & have been demoing songs at Green Valley Studio & have commenced recording their first album with legendary Northern Irish producer Frankie McClay at Einstein Studio, which will see an early 2012 release!
So for now welcome to this the new chapter in the life of NOVICE...to be continued!
