The Silver Liners are a 5-piece pop/rock band from Washington, D.C. Their sound can most easily be described as guitar-driven rock with catchy lyrical hooks and dance-able synth grooves. Their live show incorporates elements of tribal percussion with dancy electronic drums and synths creating a high-energy atmosphere.
Critics and reviewers have drawn comparisons to artists such as: The Strokes, The Virgins, Prince, Foo Fighters, Panic! At the Disco, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
Over the last year, The Silver Liners have been generating a ton of buzz in the DC area and were recently selected for an industry showcase hosted by ReverbNation and the Future of Music Coalition at Iota Club & Cafe in Arlington, VA. The band has garnered press from publications such as The Washington Times, Brightest Young Things, The Washington Examiner, and All Things Go. CBS' community blog listed The Silver Liners as one of the top 4 local Washington, DC bands; in addition, Citystream.com listed The Silver Liners as one of the “8 DC bands to watch in 2011”.
